Setting right-hand internal margin in textbox

Hello -

For some reason, I am not able to set the right-hand margin of a multiline
textbox. Users want to print the document and the text is cut off on the
right-hand side.

The Excel help files say to select the textbox, and on the Format menu,
click the Margins tab and under Internal margin, adjust the measurements. I
do not have that option under format, or anything else for that matter. I
can't even find it amongst the properties in intellisense.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

That is for the textbox from the drawing toolbar. Is that what you are
using. Is it on a worksheet.

If you are using that textbox, you need to right click on the outer, thick
selection boarder to get a format dialog that has 8 tabs.

Setting right-hand internal margin in textbox

Hi Tom -

Thanks for your reply!

It's the textbox from the Control Toolbox toolbar.

(I tried throwing in a box from the drawing toolbar just to see what that
would do -- I've never used an autoshape for a textbox before. I was able to
get the thick line you mentioned, and thus, the 8-tab dialog you are talking
about, just once! What's the trick to that?)

At any rate, how do I get this dialog from the textbox from the Control
Toolbox toolbar, or is setting the internal margin something that has to be
done with code?

in the drawing toolbar, click the second button (the northwest arrow) which
puts you in a type of design mode. then select the textbox and right click
on it. When done, click the button again.
