uuqal sign in formula bar Excel 2003
Previous Excel versions showed an equal sign button in front of the formula
insert button on the Excel formula bar. In Excel 2003 only the formula insert button is present. I found the old version very usefull, is there a way to change the toolbar back to the old layout ? kind regards, Erik |

Far as I know, it was removed in xl2002 and later and you can't restore it.

This was changed in version 2002 and has remained through 2003 in spite of it not being a very popular move by Excel Developers. No way to get it back. You can place the "=" sign on the Toolbar but functionality is not the same. It just enters an "=" sign in the cell.
