opening files on network drives via a brouser
 

Hello,

I have a excel file that makes a report out of many other excel files
according to the right parameters. They all are located on a network
drive, in a same folder. It's working when started in the folder
directly, but the main file must got to the intranet and work in a
brouser.
And it's not working there. Can anyone give me some info about that
matter, or should I consult my local admin about the ways our network
works etc.

OK, have tried now endlessly. Can't get to work. It seems that the
macro in the WB opened in the brouser can't find/locate the file he
needs. Gives runtime error "1004",

The last message ende, it mus go on like this:

, method "open" of object "workbooks" failed.

The code is: Workbooks.Open
