RS232 probs, help needed!
hello there. Im in a big need of some help with a MSComm1 codeing. I'm about to start a project that includes 2 steppers (step motors), I call em X & Y. I don't know their specifications but they get a bit cranky at 1500 spins  Im gonna fix the Velocity part later but I need to make a test run in the end of the week!! Well now to my problem: I'm kind of newbie to the VBA world (VB too) and I wanna get this thing work so I can get my references from my boss. I haven't even started with this part because I jsut got to it. I thought if anyone had some examples that could help me out? I need to send Keystroke commands to the steppers, such as X-1000 (move 1000 spins in the negative direction). Any technuiques are welcome. Here the Goal: I need 4 cells to putin the Keystrokes I need a pause command for every cell sending (if possible) and some more if you got any idea's. Help would be appretiated ;) Best Regards gobiten - sweden P.S I hope you understand my typings D.S -- Gobiten ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gobiten's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=29217 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=489429 |

Gobiten
You could take a look on http://www.hardandsoftware.com/ Richard Grier has helped me a number of times in the past on VB/RS232 programming problems. Its (probably) not VBA but should be transferable.
