Eliminating Cut-Copy/Paste Options
Hi there...
I am trying to write a code that would prevent anyone from using cut/copy and paste options in my workbook. The problem I have is that there are conditional formats set, and some users insist on using cut/copy and paste to move information, which also removes the formatting. I've eliminated the right-click shortcut option, but I want to stop the menu bar (Edit) from being active. I'm sure most of my user have no idea how to use keyboard shorts, so that wouldn't be a problem. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. TIA... Mark |

Hello Mark, A simpler option would be to password protect the worksheet. Unlock any cells on the sheet that will be needed for input. This will disable cut, copy, paste and format changes to the cells. Eliminating Cut-Copy/Paste Options
Good evening Mark Krupiarz It is extremely difficult to do this, as cut and copy can be calle from the menu, toolbar, right click menu, and keyboard shortcuts an all of these must be addressed to properly do this task. Bastien Mensink has some code at his site that does the trick, whic can be found here : http://www.asap-utilities.nl/scripts..._999726363.tip HTH Dominic -- dominic ----------------------------------------------------------------------- dominicb's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=1893 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?threadid=48800 |
