Populating 'Comments' with cell value
 

I am using Excel 97 upwards,

I have been tasked with 'a little job!' I am wanting to be able to
hoverover with the mouse over a point on a spreadsheet and a box be presented
with a message. Is 'comments' the only way or are there alternatives?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
