date warning

hi all...

as part of my job, i have to manage an enormous number of deadlines
etc, and was wondering if there's a way of having the deadline column
change the colour of the text within date cells that are imminent?

for example, if a date is over a week away, it could remain green, if
it's within a week, then it could be amber, within three days = orange,
and on the deadline (or overdue) = red.

sadly, i have next to no programming knowledge, but would really
appreciate it if anybody could offer suggestions?

thanks,

glueboy.

Use conditional formatting under the Format menu.

make the default color green, and use conditional formatting for the other 3
conditions.

So you don't need to do any programming.

Look at Debra Dalgleish's site under C for additional information

George Sp

date warning

Hi all

I am looking for something very similar. Unfortunately I could not find any
examples on the topic.

I have a list of tasks that take between 20 min and 22.75 hours to complete. If
I set a start date and time for those tasks I would like to calculate the end
date and time. The other condition is that the tasks are performed during
certain periods of time (during working hours and outside of tea, lunch breaks
or days off ). I really like the idea of changing colour as the end date and
time (deadline) approaches.

How it could be done? Do you know any VBA examples on this issue?

I believe conditional formatting would not be enough?!?

I believe that my problem and the one glueboy has are very similar and that is
why I post in this thread.

Thanks a lot.
