Anyone know how to enter Info in a web page through VBA in Excel
My company is migrating to a new accounting system fromone with a text based
interface than emulates the "green screen" terminals to a system that has the Explorer as its interface. I write macros that retrive information or repeat tasks in the old system. Is there a way to enter keystrokes into a web page so that I can get the information out of the new server. I do not want to avoid the security by accessing the tables dirrectly. If it is complicated is there a book that discusses what I would need to know? |

There are a number of prgrams that record key strokes and play them back.
They are ok for experienced users but sometimes are tempramental. Do a serch for key stroke programs on winsite or simtel. |

You can do this through the XMLHTTP object, but it's not always easy.
