Hi,

I would like to be able to do the following:

<a href="c:\test.xls?param1=123&param2=1234" /

so that when clicked "test.xls" opens and extracts param1 and param2
and does some processing with them ... is this possible. If not what
would be the appropriate route to take?

Being able to pass arguments to a workbook would be nice but XL doesn't
support the capability of treating workbooks as functions/subroutines.

One way out that I can think of is to write your own VB/VBA/VBScript
code that would run XL, open test.xls, replace param1 and param2 with
the desired values, and do a recalculation of the workbook. Of course,
you would also have to define what to do with the recalculated
workbook.
