Hi FrigidDigit
Thanks Rowan and Tom for helping FrigidDigit Will try to update the page very soon with a few more examples. But I am very busy now. Another option is maybe create links http://www.rondebruin.nl/summary2.htm -- Regards Ron de Bruin http://www.rondebruin.nl "FrigidDigit" wrote in message ... Hi Ron, I have been trying to make use of the code you so kindly provided at your site (http://www.rondebruin.nl/ado.htm) but since I am new to VBA its been hard going! I have a deadline for Wednesday so while I have tried to resolve my problem on my own, I am going to have to ask for your help. I would like to combine the code from your examples to do the following: I need to loop through all the .xls files in a folder (path hard coded) and extract the data from several non-contigious cells and list them in a designated worksheet. The files are very large and tike some time to open, so your ADO solution seems to be ideal. So I have lets say 17 files in a folder "C:\Data" from which I want to copy cells A7, D8 and F8. I have a workbook called Summary.xls in folder "D:\Worksheets" and I want to copy A7 (above) to A2, D8(above) to B2 and F8(above) to C2. Obviously each workbook's extracted data needs to go into a new row in Summary.xls. I realize you are probably very busy but if you can spare the time to help me I would be eternally grateful! Regards Frigid Digit |
