Linear Programming
I am trying to formulate a Linear Programming Problem using SOLVER. Having some difficulties, can anyone help. The problem is: I have a works contract for 4 months. The contract requires (a) 9 trucks in month-1, (b) 11 trucks in month-2, (c) 10 trucks in month-3, and (c) 7 trucks in month-4. I can lease the trucks on 1-month, 2-months, 3-monts, and/or 4-months lease. The cost of 1-month, 2-months, 3-months, and 4-months lease is $3,200; $2,960, $2,580, and $2430, respectively. What contracting strategy should I adopt in order to minimize costs. Your prompt response will be very highly appreciated. *** Sent via Developersdex http://www.developersdex.com *** |

find the Solvsamp.xls file on your Computer and look at it. You should be
able to adapt one of the samples to this problem. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\SAMPLES on my install, so look for the Samples subdirectory somewhere underneath your Microsoft Office directory. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "Asif Mian" wrote in message ...
