I have embedded external data in my datasheet, and excel asks me if I want to
automatically update the information. How can I set Excel to skip the
question and always update on this file.

Tools/Options/Edit - uncheck ask to update automatic links. Of course, this
will be applied to all of your workbooks as it is an application setting.
