Does anyone know if and how you can get back a program that was deleted by
mistake? I deleted microsoft works, which has my word and excel program on,
and is very important!

Depends on whether or not you emptied the recyle bin. If not - it might
still be there and can be brought back...

Otherwise you will need some discs.

You might also be able to use the System Restore program. This is found in the System Tools under the Accessories area in the Start
menu. System Restore generally restores system settings and does not restore deleted stuff, but if your deleted program is not in
the Recycle Bin, this might be a possibility. Beyond that, you are stuck with either restore disks (will only give you the program
back, not the files.) In the case of an uninstalled program, Restore might work.
