there is no built in support for it.
What causes the cell to change value? What kind of textbox (drawing toolbar? ) You can probably use an event to react to that or use the calculate event to update on every calculate. Given that, what do you need to know? -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "Mark" wrote in message ... I am using Excel 97. The cell value will change on a weekly basis. The spreadsheet with the cell
value changes is emailed from our HQ, I would write some code to point the that workbook, if you could help with some code it would be greatly appreciated. -- Mark "Tom Ogilvy" wrote: there is no built in support for it. Assming this is a textbox from the Drawing toolbar, why not link it to the
cell below the textbox (assuming it resides in the worksheet). Then, you can link that cell to the external workbook. Sub LinkCell() sName = "MyFile" Range("A1").formula = "=[C:\Myfolder\" & sName & ".xls]Sheet3!B9" End Sub -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "Mark" wrote in message ...
