One thing you haven't said is what causes the value of the cell to change.
In any event, you could use the calculate event and use a static variable to store the last value of the cell See Chip Pearson's page on events http://www.cpearson.com/excel/events.htm -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "bassfisher" wrote in message ... hello, i am a newbie when it comes to to programing. i am attempting to have a macro run when the value of a cell is changed. i have a macro that does what i want it to, diplays an erro message and plays a sound, but just cannot seem to make it work based on the cell value. any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance bassfisher -- bassfisher ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bassfisher's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=27585 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=471080 |
