hi all, I want to know if the below if possible. When copyng multiple cell ranges from one sheet/book to another. is it possible to copy more than more cell range at a time from the primary to the secondary ?? This would cut out the need for moving between the same sheets many times. -- ceemo ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ceemo's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=10650 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=469844 |

Good afternoon Ceemo Excel will, to a degree, perform copying from a multiple selection – that is where ctrl is held down while the user selects different areas of the spreadsheet. In some cases the user will receive the error message “That command cannot be used on multiple selections”. However, if the selection to be copied includes the same cells from a number of rows (eg. A1:A4 and C1:C4), or the same cells from a number of columns (eg. A1:C1 and A4:C4), then it will work – but with two peculiar side effects : any formulae copied will be pasted as values, and any spaces included in the selection will disappear. This does not appear to be documented in the help files. However, I have a free add-in available upon request that will, amongst other things, copy and paste multile ranges (across workbooks if required) which has none of the above side effects. If you require this, please e-mail me. Hi Ceemo It works on all versions of excel from XL97 onwards, and you paste the range as a "single unit", not as a series of units, if you see what I mean. I've just seen your e-mail and will you send you the file in a couple of minutes.
