Hi everyone,
Can this be done?? My goal is to find out the best combination (min value).
I have a list of data containing 20 different valuation dates for 100
securities.
On each of the valuation date, I have the option of choosing an Accreted
Value ("AV"), a Market Value ("MV"), or a New Accreted Value ("NAV") which is
the results of the previous AV, but the rule is if I choose MV on the 1st
valuation date, I can't go back and choose the AV on my 2nd valuation date,
but I can choose either a new MV or the NAV, and the trick is that let's say
if I use a MV on the 2nd valuation date, I will have one more option of using
the NAV starting from the 3rd valuation date...
Example:
Date
01/01/00 AV
02/01/00 MV
03/01/00 NAV
04/01/00 NAV
05/01/00 MV...
some of the combination could be:
AV--AV--AV--AV--AV...
MV--MV--MV--MV--MV...
AV--AV--MV--NAV--MV...
AV--MV--NAV--NAV--NAV...
my question is how can I list out all of the possible combination??
