Clean/replace textstring
 

Good Day Group,

My textstring looks like this; ****abcdef**.
The important message is the letters, the asterics are
remains of "wildcards". Is there a simple way to clean
the string to only show the letters? The length of the
letters are variable as well as the numbers of *.

Any help valueable. Thanks.

=SUBSTITUTE(A1,"*","")
