Hi and Welcome
If you are new to the forum these may be of interest: http://www.cpearson.com/excel/newposte.htm http://www.cpearson.com/excel/Attachments.htm Having read those you may want to post back with a description of what your data looks like now and how you would like it to look when you are finished. Good luck Rowan jdecambra wrote: whats up everyone, im new to the forum and i have to say this is an awesome forum. thanks in advance to anyone that lends their help. thanks! i have this project im working on where i need data thats listed on one colum to be broken into more than one colum. i have an example if someone can take a look at it. its located at http://www.jaysondecambra.com/EXCELMACROTEST.xls if you look at sheet 1 all the data is listed in colum a. i would like it to look like sheet 2. is this possible? oh in the real book i have more than 3200 rows not just one like the test. thanks again for anyhelp guys!!! |

Hi. The best way to do this would be to select the data you wish to separate, and select datatext to columns Select the delimited type, and click next. Check the box under delimiters where it says "space" and click next. then finish. Hope this Helps, Andrew G -- carlito_1985 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ carlito_1985's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=21390 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=467731 |
