Not a valid add-in file???
 

What do you have to change about a workbook (xls) file to make it an add-in?
I changed a file extension to xla, but when I try to add it to the list of
add-ins, I am told that it is not a valid add-in file????

Hi Keith,

I changed a file extension to xla

Instead of changing the extension, try:

File | SaveAs | Save as type | Microsoft Excel Add-In

(Last item in drop down list)
