VBA for excel

Hi all.

I am very new to VBA but have been using basic Macros for some time.

I have created a button on the front page of my document. I have been able
to get this to display a dialogue box which I created - this askes questions
of the user and the idea is that they fill it in. The information sort is
generally of a text nature (this is more about making it look nice than
anthing else) I have one drop down list with 3 predefined choices and one
set of either Yes or No Options, the rest are all just text.

I want to be able to have each of the boxes deposit the information to a
cell on a background sheet. I then want to be able to use this information
for other calculations within my sheet.

I designed the dialogue box on the Dialog1 sheet but want the information to
go to a sheet I have called "General Information"

Please please can someone help me.

if you're using Excel 2000 or later, use a Userform.
Go to the IDE ( press Alt +F11) then add a userform.
You can drag items to this from the tool box. try adding a textbox and a
button
double click the button to open the default event for the button of the
form's code sheet. add a line like
Worksheets("Sheet2").Range("A1") = Textbox1.text

run the form, enter somthing into the text box, click the button , close the
form & see whats in th ecell A1 on Sheet2

play around
