How to remove and old Add-in from list of avaiable Add-ins
Group,
I am using Excel 2000 under Win XP Home Edition. I created and used an Add-in (.xla) file for a period. I have removed that file from my computer and network, but the name of the Add-in still appears in the list of available Add-in files. How can I get the file name removed from the list of available Add-in files? Excel is taking forever to open. I wonder if the program is searching the network for that missing Add-in. Any thoughts are appreciated. Dan Fisher |

Remove it from the registry.
Look in the keys: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\E xcel\Add-in Manager HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\E xcel\Options Replace the 10 with your office version or look in all versions under Office in your registry.
