Find Duplicate Entries by Column
I'm not even sure if I need the advanced functions and macros for this. How do I find duplicate text entries in a given column? I have a customer database in Excel with names, addresses, etc for thousands of customers, and I need to weed out the duplicates. Do I need a macro for this? If so, can you help? Thanks in advance! :) Cheryl Allison -- cheryl_allison ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cheryl_allison's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=26955 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=401734 |

You can do this with Advanced Filter and "unique records only" and "copy to another location". For more on this see instructions and graphics at Debra Dalgleish's site. http://www.contextures.on.ca/xladvfilter01.html Gord Dibben Excel MVP On Sat, 3 Sep 2005 18:34:50 -0500, cheryl_allison <cheryl_allison.1ut5aa_1125792303.7718@excelforu m-nospam.com wrote: I'm not even sure if I need the advanced functions and macros for this.
