add this to a standard module

Sub print_it()
ActiveSheet.PageSetup.PrintArea = Selection.Address
ActiveWindow.SelectedSheets.PrintPreview
End Sub

assign it to a button/menu adding a ctrl + letter shortcut

Hi brickman,
You are probably thinking of Ctrl+P which is the same as
File, Print unlike the print toolbar button, it gives you choices,
and one of the choices is "Print Selection"..
