Trying to count text in a filtered array using this function

I'm counting based on a filtered spreadsheet. I use this formula that works
great if I test for 0. However when I try to count the "Cash" entries I get
an error.

SUMPRODUCT(SUBTOTAL(3,OFFSET(new_lender,ROW(new_le nder)-MIN(ROW(new_lender)),,1)),--(new_lender,"Cash")
