Mike Fogleman

if else statement

You can name the formulas the same way you name a range. In the Refers To:
box put a formula with 6 of your IF's. Give it a name like Formula1. Then do
it again for the next 5 IF's and give it a name like Formula2. Then in your
worksheet cell use them in a formula with your final IF something like this:

IF(Formula1, Formula2, "Whatever") or IF(AND(Formula1, Formula2), "True",
"False"), however you need to combine them. As you can see by giving a
formula with 7 IF's a name, and then refering to that name in a formula,
Excel now sees it as only 1 element, not 7. Getting around the 7 IF limit is
much easier than keeping track of the logic needed to create a monster IF
statement like this.

if else statement

You should be looking at an alternative to nested IFs, such as VLOOKUP. Give
more details on the conditions and we can point you there.
