How can I run solver from a macro button?
I am making a spreadsheet that shows how many items you need to purchase, at
a set price, and sell at a set price, to make the largest profit. It is a 10 item list that the solver works with. There a 3 constraints, integers only, the number of items purchased must be greater or equal to 0, and the total spent on purchasing the items must not exceed the money on-hand. The numbers that change are the ones that show how many of each item to purchase. This will be used for both people who are familiar with Excel and those who are not, so I don't want them to have to fill in all the blanks when using solver. The cell references themselves will not change, so they could be hard-coded. I tried to look at the SOLVER.XLA that appeared in my vb editor, but it asked for a password. Anyone have any ideas on how I could accomplish my goal? |
