Sort Help for Excel

Hey,

I'm need help sorting for excel. I have a list of vehicles by number
(1-300) and in the second column, I have their year (1984-2005) I need
to be able to sort the entire list from oldest year to newest year but
I can't seem to do that without changing their vehicle numbers.
Example, Truck #4 is a 2000 and Truck #5 is a 2000. If I sort by date,
Truck #4 because Truck #5. I want to keep the orginial numbers of the
truck while still organizing it by descending date. Thanks for your
help

Hi, Seamlus. It's impossible to sort data by one column without "ruining"
another column's sort. Or don't I understand the question?

when you do the sort, make sure you select both columns, not just the one
you want to sort on. excel will keep the rows together
