Accesing Word Document from Excel???
 

Hi,

This could be an interesting one for someone!

I have a spreadsheet with an AutoShape and when I click on it it opens
up a word document. This seems to be embedded in the workbook, it is
not an external word doc.

I decided to see what code is required to open this word doc. and
recorded the macro. This is the piece of code:

Application.Run "'PMI Full WkBk.xls'!Sheet291.ProjectSummary"

["ProjectSummary" is the word doc I presume. I cannot find any
"Sheet291"]

Now, what I want to do is call up this word document from another
spreadsheet and copy the contents of it into this new spreadsheet.

The line Application.Run "'PMI Full WkBk.xls'!Sheet291.ProjectSummary
launches an Excel macro from workbook PMI Full WkBk.xls in worksheet
Sheet291.
In there you'll probably find the word doc specs. But isn't it easier to add
a hyperlink to your shape, open the doc, copy the content and dump it in a
new worksheet?
