Well, say I want to see all the data that refers to Bob. I want a macr
that will pick rows that start with Bob and copy it and and paste it i
sheet 2

do auto filter for <bob and highlight filtered data and copy to another
sheeet
create a macro doing these operations.

later you an modify the macro to make it general
