Excel gets slower and slower....
 

I use a workbook on Excel 2002 and windows XP. It is used to display reports
built with VB code.

When the users display many reports, the Excel becomes slower and slower. I
check my code and all objects are cleaned after their use. DO you have
already met problems of memory leak? Is it possible to clean memory using VB?

This does not have to be a memory leak; are all the reports open at the same
time? If so you may be taxing your system's resources. Also, if the user
edits any cells it may be recalculating all the open workbooks.

Use the Windows Task Manager to see how much memory you are using, and also
to see if you are closing down Excel completely (might show multiple hidden
instances of Excel in the task list) as well as to monitor performance (see
how much of your CPU time is being used by Excel). Try setting the
calculation mode to manual if you can to avoid problems with recalculation
(but remember to recalculate when needed/set it back to automatic when done).

Clean out your temp directory

Also, if it is your code that is getting slower, then make sure you set

ActiveSheet.DisplayPageBreaks = False

anytime they might get displayed.

OK thanks. I will try.

I use only one workbook that uses one sheet to display different reports.
The reports are built using Copy/Paste from another sheet.
