Excel 2003. I would like to write a formula which will calculate the
commission earned based on total sales figure and commission percentage.

If the commission is in A1 and the total sales is in B1:

=a1*b1

if a1 contains .06 or 6%.

If A1 contains 6 (a whole number), then
=a1*b1/100
