i just grouped some rows together in my spreadsheet. that worked great, but
now i have trouble sorting and keeping this groups in the right order. any
suggestions?

Hi,
The best way I have found to keep a group together is to creat another
field, column, and give each group a unique ID.

You're right, i did that before and it worked. But i did have a quick
question about a helper column like that. the group will all have the same
value in that additional column. will excel always keep the order within the
group the same?

i'm having trouble with this, the group will not stick with the sort.

Hi,
Maybe you can use two cheater columns? Have not tried it, but I think a 1A,
1B, 1C, 2A, 2B, 3B, etc might work too.
