command button
I am trying to add a button to a worksheet, to which I want to add code, so
it will insert a new row whenever clicked. I am using excel 2003 and no matter what I try, I cannot add the button to the sheet. Is there some setting that would prevent this? If so how do I change it? I have clicked on the toolbar, selected customize, forms and clicked on the button and nothing happens. I would appreciate some help here. -- Steven Shelton There are two secrets to success in life 1) Never tell anybody everything you know |

Are you trying to recreate a built in function?
View - Toolbars - Customize - Commands tab - Insert - You can drag the insert row icon to your existing toolbar. This is one of the first customizations I make. Adding the Insert Row / Insert Column and Delete Row / Delete Column. If you are not familiar with this option, be sure to look around, as there are many useful command buttons that can be added to your existing toolbar. Note - you can drag unused items off of your toolbar while in customize mode. This will make room for ones you will use.
