I am studying German and have a database for my vocabulary. I find it helps
me learn to write or type the words. However, I would like to be able to
create random flash cards. I have never done anything like this in excel.
Does anyone know how I could accomplish this?

Thanks,
Tony

If you have PowerPoint and are willing to use it, create the flash
cards as a PP presentation and then randomize the display with
Random Slide Show

I have a little workbook which will accomplish this but not require VBA. I
cannot post it here however, would have to e-mail it to you. Next to "Test
My" the user selects English or German. The rest of the workbook has a
hidden column of random number functions to left of word list, and
conditional formatting causes either the English or the German words to be
in white font. The conditional formatting in the response column is based on
the entered info equalling either the German, or the Englis column, combined
with the value in the language selection cell. Pretty simple.

Test My. English << User chooses English or German
