Autofilter including incorrect rows

Has anyone encountered a problem with Autofilter including rows that don't
meet the search criterion?

The drop-down menu lists the correct choices, but the filter does not
exclude all the rows that don't meet the chosen value.

It's not a large sheet (c 250 rows) and the most it should return would be
around 20-25 rows.

Can anyone help?

Thanks
Sue

Either your filter ends before you expect it to.

or your data includes spaces at the end or the beginning so it doesn't meet
the criteria for exclusion.

But no, Autofilter is pretty robust.

I bet you have a gap in your range (blank row???).

If you let excel guess what the range should be, it might guess wrong for you.

I'd remove the autofilter and then select the whole range and then apply
data|filter|Autofilter.

Thanks Dave and Tom

No, there weren't any blank rows, but Dave's suggestion works so at least I
don't have the problem now.

I wish I knew what caused it though!
