Sorry, but this seems like a terrible idea to me.

Using Word could be done, but it would be very awkward and I don't think your
users would be terribly pleased. What would work better is a user-friendly form set up for the data entry. If you are looking at setting up a spreadsheet for database entry, have you tried the Data... Form... menu option? If that will not meet your needs you could create a userform and customize it however you like. hi David,
maybe you can manage this problem on this way, but unfortunatelly, i don1T know exactly the english name of the menu and now i don't have time to set my computer to english, but i think it can be use. So, if you choose the next menupoints (or something similar): data/importing data/reading data... you can select a file to importing data. this file can be even a word document, but sometimes only the txt files working properly. once you have done this procedure you only have to refresh your data with the refresh button. -- sisco98 "David" wrote: How can open word and enter some simple text which is then posted back into the cell I clicked. Data... Get External Data... New Database Query.
The above would be useful if the users wanted to work entirely within Word and then you wish to import the results later. My earlier suggestion is if you want to have the data go into Excel as soon as it is entered.
