Excel Macro workbook_open() BUG with addins?
Hello guys, I really need your assistance I wrote a VBA macro do some calculations and I added a splash scree with: Private Sub workbook_open() UserForm2.Show End Sub now here is the problem, I save my macro as an addin, and enable thi add-ins in excel "tool". now if I open an empty(new) excel workbook everything includes my addin work just fine, my userform2 displays a the begining. but if I open any existing(saved) workbook that contains data, it wil behave like this: userform2 displays as before, then it disappear as expected(After fe second), but there isnt any workbook got opened, the excel window i here and it is gray, i can mannually create a new workbook or clic open file button to open other workbook, but it doesnot open th workbook I chose automaticlly after i double click on the workboo icon. I am pretty sure the problem has something to do with workbook_ope sub, if only I erase this sub, everything will be just fine. I have searched so many online tutorials but none of them addressed th problem, anyone knows what might be the reason? thanks a lo -- lang047 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- lang0477's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=2397 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread.php?threadid=37594 |

Look in Tools=Options and see if Ignore Other Applications is checked. If
so, uncheck it. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "lang0477" wrote in message ... the other alternative for this type of problem is usually to close excel,
then go to the Run menu under the Windows Start menu enter Excel.exe /regserver and click OK. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "lang0477" wrote in message ...
