Data filter brings in too much data
I have a simple macro that is supposed to filer out the rows where the first
column contains the string "TC1". The other rows in the data range contain the string "TC1 APR05", "TCI May05", "TC2" etc. The problem is that when I specify the filter criteria as "TC1" the results include all the rows that include TC1 as the first 3 characters. this will include TC1 May05 etc. How can I limit the filter to extract just the rows that contain "TC1" and only "TC1" irrespective of the characters that follow. Thank you |

Hi Ben,
To restrict the filter output to TC1 rather than all strings which start with TC1, try changing your filter criterion to: ="=TC1" --- Regards, Norman "Ben" wrote in message ...
