Default Macro Problems

I need to use macros but I am not quite that skilled. Does anyone know of a
good source of instruction? I am using Excel 2003, I believe. I have tried to
write macros several times (using code suggested form this board. Thanks BTW)
but I can't figure out how to stop recording. Can someone please help me :-(

Thanks James,
I am also trying to use a book (written for 2003) and it says (I think) if I
stop recording before everything is entered properly I will have to do it
again. I tried a code suggested yesterday but it doesn't like it for some
reason. I'll BRB with the error.
