Hi,
Here's my code to open the MS Office 2000 Outlook.

Application.Dialogs(xlDialogSendMail).Show

But when I ran it, it open the Outlook Express instead of
my MS office Outlook. It's there a sitting to change the
default to Ms office 2000?

Houm,

Outlook express is set as your default mail handler, change this to Outlook
proper, and things should be cured.

Hi,

I share the same problem: how can you know in VBA what the default email
handler is?

Thanks

You normally set this within Outlook, usually when you start Outlook and the
E-mail handler within it will ask you if you wish to make Outlook the
default, obviously you will answer yes to this.

However, you MAY be able to do this in VBA, using the following code.

Dim objOutlook As Object
Dim objmailItem As Object

'Create the Outlook object
Set objOutlook = CreateObject("Outlook.Application")

'Access a new mail item
Set objmailItem = objOutlook.CreateItem(olmailItem)

This some VBA code I use in an Access database that starts up Outlook and
then creates a new email. You could try using this in Excel, I can't see why
it wouldn't work. If you don't want to open a new E-mail, then leave out the
last line.

I haven't tried it out myself, but I think it will be ok, let me know how
you get on.
