Project is unviewable

A fired coworker locked up some VBA projects even thou he did not have any
ownership on this macros.
When we try to see the macros we get a message saying "Project is
unviewable",
Anybody knows how to get into this, unfortunately the former coworker said
he never locked them, and knows nothing about it.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Hi,

Most probably the project was saved with a password. However in that
case you should have a popup window asking for it. If what you get is
"unviewable.." message, it means that besides to be password protected
it was also saved in a higher Xl version. If you try to open it in that
versions, then you should be prompted for the password.

If the workbook has been shared then the project is inviolable. This has
nothing to do with a password; if the project had a password you would be
prompted for it, not told it's inviolable. Unshare it and should be able to
get in.
