Merge & align ..left?
 

Can I create a button like the merge & align center- but have it align left
instead? If the answer is yes- how would I accomplish this? Am I just being
lazy?

Use the merge & align center button, then click the align left button.

Or write a macro to do it, create the button and assign the macro to it.

Tools=customize.
