Default Number of workdays in a month

I am looking for some advice on how to do the following

A user will enter a date in Cell A1

I want excel to calculate the workdays that that
represents for the month

ie he puts in 1 Jan the result will be 0

he puts in Jan 15 the result would be 10 etc
