i write a lot of code vba in access database. is there a
way to do it in excel if so how are there any good
websites that can help me get started

It's the same VBA language. In Access it's automatically hooked into the
Access object model. In Excel, it's the Excel object mode.

Have you spent any time looking at the code examples posted in this newsgroup?

I made the reverse cross-over as well (most go from Excel to Access). Most
of the language is the same. Aside from the habit of everyone calling their
code a 'macro' <bg you shouldn't find the switch that hard.

There are a couple of tutorials here that may help you get running:

My difficulty was coming to task with not having events attached to
everything.
Try this site for some guidance:
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/events.htm

Lurk on this group for a while, pick up the MVP's site and have a look at
how they solve problems.

Once you begin to get the knack, to get yourself up to speed in a hurry,
start answering some quesitons.
