How do I move a toolbar with custom macros over to another computer?
I have saved some macros in personal.xls and created a toolbar with custom
icons for those macros (Excel 2003 on Windows XP w/SP2). When I copy personal.xls into the equivalent folder my other computer, the macros open, but not the toolbar. I tried using Attach... command in the toolbar customize options on the first computer, but it didn't seem to affect the second computer. What else could I try? Thanks, Colin |

Hi Colin,
If you moving your material from one computer to another for your own use with the same version of Excel you should be able to simply copy your .xlb file, see http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/backup.htm It would be unwise for someone else to copy their .xlb files and files to someone else's computer as a means of distribution, because the recipient would not be able to use Excel properly with their own customizations. For distributing your macros with toolbars to someone else, one could use John Walkenbach's "Menu Maker" --- HTH, David McRitchie, Microsoft MVP - Excel [site changed Nov. 2001] My Excel Pages: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/excel.htm Search Page: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/search.htm "Colin Higbie" wrote in message ...
