Is there a way to create a set of radio buttons within a password
protected template so that the "Cell or Chart you are trying to change
is protected..." error does not occur when selected by the end user?

I want my template to be locked, but I want the users that use the
template to be able to select either RadioButtonA or RadioButtonB. Help?

Hi

It should work. Did you link the buttons to locked cells ? That would be the
problem if so. Remove the linking and have macros handle the action.

Unprotect the worksheet then select the cell you want them to be able to
change
Right click Format cells Protection Unselect Locked and click OK
Make sure you remove protection from both the cell containing the radio
button and the linked cell if they are different.
Then protect your worksheet again.

yeah, you can get rid of Excel; it isn't meant to be used like this for data
entry.

use Access-- you can do things like this a LOT easier
