I need to figure out how to do percent increase

Say I have $2.06 as the new price and $1.88 as the current price. I need
to know how to figure out what the percent increase is.

Hi Ginny- Percent increase is the increase or decrease divided by the
original number. (2.06-1.88)/1.88 or .18/1.88, which is 9.05745%. More
examples:
to go from 8 to 10: (10-8)/8 = .25, but to go from 10 to 8, (8-10)/10 = -.2
