Excel taskbar
Hi everybody,
I created my personal toolbar which I want to backup. I'm using Excel 97 on a Win2000 OS. I know that the file C:\WINNT\username8.xlb is the file for the taskbar which I have to backup. Now I have following problem. How do I get Excel to update this file after I made changes to my toolbar. I closed Excel and restarted it again but the changes were gone. Thanks for any help. How do I get Excel to update this file after I made changes to my toolbar
It's automatic. Excel saves the current menu/toolbar configuration in your XLB file when you exit Excel automatically. The Knowledgebase articles I've seen suggest that a corrupted XLB file can cause customizations not to reload. You can test this idea by once again creating your customizations in Excel and deleting your XLB before closing Excel. You should see a new XLB after that.
