I have an excel file that is 671KB in size. It should be no more than 70KB.
Can you tell me how to find out what is causing the enlargement? Please
help because I need to have about 11 - 15 of these sheets in one work book.
And at this size (671KB) it will be around 10MB when completed. I am
willing to send one of the sheets to anyone who would try to determine what
is causing the problem. Each cell on the sheet is linked to another sheet
in the workbook. I moved a sheet to a new workbook and removed the links,
but the file only reduced about 3 or 4 KB. Please help if you can.

Try "Deleting) (not clear contents) all of the cells beneath your last row of
data and to the right of the last column of data and save the spreadsheet.
Sometimes that will decrease the memory size of the sheet. Otherwise get rid
of logo's shapes....

That worked, I will try it in the work book with all of the sheets and hope
for the best, thanks again.

Bobby

See one answer in excel.misc news group.

Please don't multi-post, just fragments answers and wastes time and effort.

Most of the regulars watch all News Groups so one posting is all that is
required.
